Admission Process

At Origins Montessori Academy, the admission process is simple.

  1. Visit our school. A Montessori environment is a unique educational experience that can be truly appreciated by seeing it action. Join us for the opportunity to visit the classroom and engage with teachers and students. To schedule a tour, please call 816-787-1515.  We look forward to hearing from you!
    **2018/2019 School Year **
    At this time of year we have limited spaces available and tours are scheduled by appointment only. Please call 816-787-1515 to find out about potential space for your child and to schedule a tour!
  2. Apply! The application deadline for the first round of admission for the 2018-19 school year was March 15, 2018. We are continuing to tour and accept applications until all spaces are filled or to be added to our wait pool. Please call  for further information. We will begin accepting applications for the 2019-20 school year in September.
  3. Student Visit & Parent Meeting. Once your application is complete, we will be in touch to schedule a student visit for all students age three and over. Student visits vary in length but typically last about half an hour. When you enroll your child at OMA, your family joins an amazing community of parents committed to a successful partnership between school and home. We value that relationship and therefore recognize the importance of getting to know you as well as your child during the admissions process. To that end, we require that parents attend a 30-minute meeting so that we can learn more about you and cover any paperwork and questions you may have about your child’s application to OMA.
  4. Notification. Notification is typically the first Friday in April. After the first round of notifications, we will continue rolling admission until all spaces are filled.
